Traineeship Plus 2019 - 2020

Traineeship Plus is an education and training programme which incorporates work experience, preparing young people for their future careers by helping them to become ‘work ready’.

Designed for people aged 16 to 24 who don’t yet have the appropriate skills or experience our Traineeship Plus offer provides the essential work preparation training, English, maths and work experience needed to secure an apprenticeship or employment.

Entry requirements: You will need to have a grade 3/D equivalent in English and/or maths at GCSE and a focus on gaining employment in the next 6months.

Traineeship Plus has three core elements:

- A high-quality work experience placement with an employer.

- Work preparation training accredited through NCFE. 

-  Functional English and maths accreditation through NCFE, if required.

Traineeship Plus lasts for 20weeks. Young people taking part will be undertaking education and training and some may qualify for financial support, including the 16-19 Bursary Fund.
